When one door closes… another one opens
Or in this case, when one flight gets canceled, another one gets booked.
I hardly ever wake up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, but last night I did. When I woke up at around 3:30 I was greeted by a text that informed me that my flight to New York today had been canceled. Never a great text to receive in the middle of the night before a trip you’re really looking forward to and need desperately.
I had heard about the software issue, but I did not expect it to impact me today, nor did I go to bed with any fear or concern outside of a casual mention. You just never know! Immediately G was awake too, and we started looking for other options at 4am so that I could still get to New York today to spend the weekend with my daughters. Within minutes, we were successful and found a different direct flight on Breeze that gets me in just a little bit later, and not a problem at all for me!
I am grateful that I have the technology to find something better at my fingertips. I’m grateful to have the financial abundance to spend even more money on something for a second time. And above all, I’m extraordinarily grateful I still get a weekend with my daughters!
Last night after getting caught in a rainstorm we were greeted by a double rainbow. When we left the house for dinner, we did not even expect it to rain again because the sun just came out after the first rain storm of the evening. That was the second. You never know what’s gonna happen next!
I believe everything happens the way it’s supposed to and I’m grateful for the adventures today will bring. 🌈🙏🏻🌈

Safe travels- enjoy the girls!!
